Getting your work in front of people online isn’t easy. Social media platforms are continuously changing the rules, making it almost impossible to keep up, with attention spans getting shorter by the scroll. It’s safe to say that we know how deflating this feels to the everyday creative who simply wants to share their work with their followers.
Today, we, TYPE01 (@type01_) have formed a partnership with Velvele (@velvele.studio)—joining forces to bring about a collaboration of creative curiosity. Velvele’s ready-to-use motion templates equip designers with the hassle-free tools to show off what they do best effortlessly, whilst feeding the greedy algorithms what they prefer—which is (arguably) video-based content. Simultaneously, our content can be empowered to inspire more, feature more, and spread ourselves to areas of social feeds that we’ve previously been restricted from.
Here’s a closer look at our newest collaboration.

Velvele
Velvele is a Milan-based creative studio blending creativity with data to build brands with purpose, brands that speak to real people and their needs through an insight-driven approach to market analysis. Never settling for just beautiful, the studio has spent years creating functional tools that help both its team and clients present their work in the simplest and most direct way possible. With the launch of Velvele Store, they became the first recognised studio to share their After Effects templates instead of keeping the motion that gave them their momentum in-house, because they believe in creative generosity and want to make a real impact on the community they’re part of.
As Velvele aims to become your go-to motion template store without the need for any other alternatives, their philosophy behind animation is simple: “Just drag, drop, and done.” The ready-to-use motion templates are designed for everyone, from designers and publishers to clients or anyone who wants to announce a launch or present new work, whilst maximising their social reach.

Giving Motion to Stillness
What brought Velvele and TYPE01 together was a shared drive to give more visibility to creatives around the world in their own way. Algorithms (currently) punish aggregated content accounts, which makes sense in many respects, for platforms that always credit the original work, offering a place where creativity can be championed, discovered and celebrated. It restricts the good that they can do, so adaptation was needed, and Velvele motion templates are the key.
“As a media company whose central purpose is to champion typography creativity, I must admit, I was slightly devastated when we found out that aggregated accounts would be punished so heavily. Whilst we have our own products, it’ll take time to invest in creating our own content—and not just static, but video, which, as many know, is substantially more costly.
That being said, I’m not concerned about being forced to adapt. It is what it is. Which is why I’m really excited to see where this collaboration can take our platform.” — Founder of TYPE01, Amber Weaver
By combining their strengths, TYPE01’s editorial pieces from their blog and wider community sharing will now be able to carry multiple designers in a single template as a kind of weekly round-up—allowing the platform to return to sharing a higher velocity of quality graphic design and typography work. Velvele, on the other hand, is planning to create a new template inspired by the collaboration, dedicated entirely to type designers—so stay tuned for this!
Founder and creative director of Velvele, Çağıl Aygen, says he’s especially curious to see where this collaboration leads, having come from a type design background himself.

It might be a little unorthodox to see how TYPE01 and Velvele bring motion to the still nature of fonts through this collaboration. Adding motion as a new layer to how we present work could shift the way people experience typography. As holding attention gets tougher, animation becomes a mindful tool that brings hidden energy to the surface.
Not to mention that we’re in an incredible era where there are more independent font foundries than ever, inspiring studios and designers to be more expressive with their creative approach, thanks to ever-growing font libraries. That’s what makes this collaboration special. It gives us the freedom and practicality to use After Effects templates to open up space for more creatives to be seen, supporting independent foundries, designers, studios, and more, all the while. celebrating the incredible work of creatives.
As we both get ready to share more news and examples from the collaboration in the coming weeks, you can explore all the details about the After Effects templates and discover how to bring motion into your own projects on Velvele Store.
