Well versed in type design before creating Nova Type Foundry in 2018, Founder Joana Correia set out to experiment with new ideas, create beautiful fonts, and offer tools that would allow designers to “shape text like an architect and infuse content with emotion.”
With low contrast and open shapes, Loretta priorities legibility, making it perfect for editorial use in magazines and books, both in print and on the web. Underneath its refined exterior, the typeface has roots in expressive calligraphic motions, meaning its design has a certain unique softness that feels gentle on the eye.
Equipped with 12 styles, case-sensitive forms, contextual alternates, old-style figures, ordinals, standard ligatures, tabular figures and lining figures, Loretta is now available directly from Nova Type Foundry, alongside the rest of their stunning collection.
Thank you, Nova Type Foundry.
