The New Display Typeface Morphing Serpentine Forms Into Illustrative Serifs

We’re so stoked to introduce Serpiente Display to our collection of fresh display typefaces over at Type Department. Created by multidisciplinary designer Coco Lobinger, Serpiente is a charming, transfixing new typeface with a unique and innovative morphology.

Based on the shapes and character of snakes, serpents emerge gracefully through the glyphs of Serpiente Display. Merging fluid, organic curves with sharp, biting serifs, its structure hints at the beauty and unpredictability of the creatures.

The wide character set also offers usability for many languages, while literally breeding a life-like visual picture of wild serpents intertwining. This means Serpiente is incredible for creating a dangerous-yet-beautiful atmosphere and packing a strong, graphic punch into display and mid-length texts.

There’s also the exciting addition of a Cyrillic version of Serpiente on the way and students are currently able to get a 30% discount for private and commercial use on the typeface. To see more, head over to Type Department.
