We are so unbelievably excited to announce that we’ve finally got our hands on our first ever edition of TYPEONE Magazine in print! Alongside our incredible partners and supporters, we are so proud of all the work that’s gone into this magazine. Thanks to you, TYPEONE Magazine is finally here in the flesh – and we’re besotted.
TYPEONE‘s defining approach uses type, in all its different forms, as a gateway to cast fresh new perspectives on design in our industry and to expose the stories, processes and people who are yet to be heard or amplified. Exploring tech, innovation, design and culture across the world, as a publication, it hopes to become a critical lens on the intersections of global and industry affairs within the context of type and design. TYPEONE Magazine was created to pave the way to new discussions, spotlight the incredibly talented bank of young creatives (whilst also including established creative leaders to share those all-important pieces of advice and life experiences with you) and transform the way we view our industry landscape.
Our debut issue centres around font design fused with the important stores about the global issues of 2020, exploring how type and design as a whole have played their part in communicating messages, amplifying voices and aiming to change the world we live in.
Full of useful resources, information, and most importantly, a huge bank of inspiration, it offers a glimpse into what the future of design will be through exploring, amongst others, the creative work of Generation Z, those who (arguably) massive drivers of trends and will effectively shape our creative industry’s future. Which we’re definitely here to explore and document. We’ve crafted TYPEONE with our community in mind… Which is also why we knew this magazine would need to embody this purpose through its content and design.
Printed in English in the UK by Pressision Creative Print & Finishers onto high-quality Fedrigoni Papers, TYPEONE Magazine was published by our friends over at People Of Print (In-Perpetuum). The stunningly high-quality finish is litho printed CYMK plus a special Pantone Spot colour (811C), meaning as an object, it feels really special.
Creating a stunning archive of 2020 in design and embodying our love for type in it’s beautiful attention to detail, TYPEONE Magazine is literally a whole new type of magazine. If you’re yet to secure yours, you can currently become an annual subscriber of our magazine and save 20%!
We cannot thank our partners and sponsors enough for making this happen, and we can’t wait for all of you to get you hands on a copy!
