Alli has undoubtably been making some of the most exciting contributions to the serif renaissance we’ve seen over the last year or two. As some of you might know already, she’s also the designer of the gorgeous, massively popular Ladybird Light—a serif display typeface inspired by the elegance of Irish Actress Saoirse Ronan.
While Ladybird is full of super-fine hairlines and high contrast, Roma Serif is built from slightly sturdier stuff. Each glyph expresses both magnificence and stability in a subtle but clear form, with shapes reminiscent of stone carvings and formal inscriptions. The typeface also comes with a stunning array of alternates, allowing users to tailor a unique tone in headlines and mid-length texts.
Roma Serif will look incredible as the foundation of a robust, elegant logotype, or indeed in editorial, web and branding scenarios paired with a more minimal text font.
